 Happy New School Year!

I am looking forward to beginning the 2010 - 2011 school year! This is a joyful opportunity for building upon the momentum of our shared success. Together we will continue to collaboratively work to give Tuscan’s children the best educational experiences that our individual and collective efforts can provide.

The Tuscan School community is fortunate to have an abundance of wonderful and talented students, caring, creative and dynamic teachers, an amazing assistant principal, a marvelous school nurse, and an outstanding school secretary. I want to express my deepest appreciation for their enthusiastic support and dedication. Tuscan’s faculty and staff members have consistently displayed a powerfully positive, energizing, inspirational and unwavering commitment to our shared work of providing Tuscan’s children with a nurturing school environment that is conducive to their active engagement in fabulous learning experiences.

Our great school can continue to become stronger with the help and support of our parent community. We believe that positive, respectful, and collaborative partnerships with parents can foster a healthy and productive school community. Under the thoughtful, compassionate and hardworking leadership of Jim Lostuto and Willis Goodmoore, our actively involved and supportive parents will continue to play an important and positive role in Tuscan’s success. On behalf of the administration, faculty, staff, and students: Thank you!

Please continue to check the PTA website and your child’s backpack for school announcements and classroom information. Together we will continue to excel in meeting our goals of ensuring a happy, safe, and nurturing school environment; providing rigorous and supportive opportunities for learning that motivate and challenge our students to seek and reach higher levels of achievement as they grow academically, socially, emotionally, behaviorally, and physically.

On behalf of the Tuscan faculty and staff, you have our best wishes for an outstanding, pleasant and productive year of exciting and meaningful learning experiences. We look forward to seeing you when school opens on Tuesday, September 7th, 2010.

Looking forward to our best year ever,

Malikah Tamar Majeed, Principal
