LUNCH FAQ
How do I set up a MealPay account?
You can access the system at www.mealpayplus.com and set up an account or call 1-877-237-0946 for phone support.
We are K-12, South Orange/Maplewood School District. For new students you will need your student's ID number which you can get by calling the Board of Education [BOE] office 973-762-5600 x1002.
How do I add a student to an existing account?
Call the BOE office to get the new student's ID number; login to www.mealpayplus.com and view your account; add the new student under "Add/Remove Student"
Where do I get my students PIN for an existing MealPay account:
Login to www.mealpayplus.com and view your account: the pin will be shown as “StudentID” or call the Board of Education Office to confirm the Student ID.
Payments:
By phone 866-734-4694 or online with a credit card at mealpayplus.com and will be charged a Program fee of 4.75% on the total payment.
By Check or Money Order sent in to school via backpack marked "Lunch/Food Service Payment" or using envelopes available at the school office and BOE office.
Cash payments are only accepted at Columbia High School Dining/Food Service Office [checks and money orders also accepted at the high school].
What is the difference between SNACK and LUNCH?
There are two types of accounts for each student – LUNCH/GENERAL or SNACK. Lunch, snack and second slices of pizza can be purchased from the GENERAL account. Lunch can only be purchased from the LUNCH account. If your student will want a second slice of pizza they will need money in the GENERAL account.

Families may apply for free or reduced-price lunches. A form is available in the office and on the District Food Services page. Children receiving free or reduced lunches are not identified in any way and access the food by using their own PIN number. Questions regarding free & reduced meals should be directed to: Ms. Juliano at the Business Office 973-762-5600 x1850.

Lunch/Recess News:
To allow your children more time to eat lunch in the Tiger's Den Cafe, please remember:
- KNOW YOUR LUNCH PIN: Students will receive their lunch quicker if they know their pin. It remains the same every year. Still learning it? Send the number on a card or paper inside their lunch box or tucked in a pocket. Soon they will have it memorized!
- LABEL YOUR LUNCHBOX: With your grade and teacher name on the outside to make sure it makes it back to the classroom. Attach a luggage tag, write it on a ribbon with a sharpie, or write it on the lunchbox itself.
