On Monday, April 13th the second grade students of Tuscan participated in a drumming, singing and dancing workshop lead by Professor Robert Levin of Montclair State University. The students, in conjunction with their learning of the Ewe Tribe in Mr. Dean’s art classes as well as Ms. Van Tine and Ms. Grutta’s music classes, discovered and performed a traditional song and dance to their younger peers. Along with song and dance, students discussed and participated in the use of language in drumming as well as working as a community.
