Get ready to #ChooseKind in SOMA! 11/13 is World Kindness Day, and starting that morning in class meetings, SOMA elementary and middle school students will join with teachers and social workers throughout the district in discussing and performing intentional acts of kindness for the week. On Friday, 11/17, starting after school at 4 pm (screening times to come) and Saturday 11/18 at 10 am, The Parenting Center and SOMA PTAs will present multiple screenings of the new major motion picture |
Wonder is adapted from the popular YA novel by RJ Palacio, and tells the story of a 10 YO boy with facial disfigurements who is sent to public school for the first time - and how he overcomes adversity, bullies, etc. It stars Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson, and opens nationally 11/17.
Tickets are $7 or $11 (includes popcorn and drink), and should be purchased in advance online or at the box office 30 minutes prior to each screening time.
#ChooseKind is a national movement. Please use the hashtags #choosekind, #wonder and #choosekindinsoma in your relevant social posts 11/13-17.
