Monday's all-school assembly featured a performance by award-winning actress, writer and choreographer, Kitty Jones, who performed an original program combining history, improvisation, period dance and music. Through Ms. Jones' storytelling, students were taken back in time to an 1899 one-room schoolhouse. Teachers and students became part of the improvisational theater work as they explored "a day in the life" of the townspeople. A highlight of the show was seeing favorite teachers or fellow classmates get up on stage to dance and improvise.
