Past Programs December: Mayhem Poets Find the Study Guide Here The Mayhem Poets: Kyle Sutton and Scott Tarazevits met at Rutgers University, where they were involved in the emerging poetry slam scene, and joined their skills and interests in forming this spoken-word poetry ensemble. This amazing troupe of four wordsmiths who share a genuine love of the written and spoken word introduces students to performance or ”slam” poetry. The program "And let our voices sing" highlights the life and achievements of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Caryn Lin- “An electric violinist for the space age!”….. plays her 4, 5,& 6 string electric violins and uses sound effects & looping to create short, on the spot recordings of her violin, voice, percussion instruments, & other sounds. Layers of sound over deceptively simple melodies result in music that is both otherworldly & totally catchy; mesmerizing and completely unique! |
