    Volunteer information 

    Move over the event name for a brief description; check "Yes" if interested
    Volunteers are needed to help the students pick out their fruits & vegetables at the Fall Farmer's market. Additional volunteers are needed for set-up & clean-up. This is only a one day/one hour commitment.
    Help the chairs during the ice cream socials by selling ice cream in front of the school. Only requires 45 minutes during the 4 ice cream days.
    Recess/Lunch: regular help or form activity groups; schedule with PTA chair before coming in
    The Fall Book Fair is a three day event that requires at least 20 volunteers who help organize, plan, set up, promote, decorate. The volunteers also help children
    The Library Committee supports the Tuscan Librarian in managing classes visiting the library. Activities include checking books in and out, shelving books, assisting teachers and students with books. This committee also works on the TV Turnoff campaign.
    Auction Fundraiser: Feb through April, varied commitments
    April - mid May: primarily 4th or 5th grade volunteer; work with vendor and submit photo files; coordinate order and delivery of yearbooks
    Volunteers are needed to set up, clean up and manage the children on the 2 picture taking days
    Proctor exams; May 13-17; 1-3 hour shifts. Coordinator position also available.
    1 or 2 people to fill online requests for school shirts; deliver shirts to school and submit deposit to treasurer if needed; shirts are in stock
    June: for 4th Grade parents to host refreshments for Moving Up; for 5th grade parents to host or support Pool Party and Yearbook signing
    Saturday in May: one day event; set up, run provided activities, or clean up (in shifts); help organize or schedule; provide baked goods, sell tickets in advance
    Mid April to May: prep and hang artwork during the school day; set up/host/clean up refreshments night of show
    Various needs: newsletter layout; report at school assemblies for PTA blog; take photos for publicity; report on school news
    Volunteers needed for fundraising events throughout the year.
    The Committee for the Tuscan Tiger Times helps to coordinate the publication of the student newspaper, soliciting and editing articles, developing the layout and distributing copies to school.
    Friday June 7th: set up/serve/clean up refreshments; sell spirit wear; greet families
    Volunteers are needed to to help with requesting and gathering information, proof reading and distribution.
    The Gardening Committee coordinates the activities to maintain and improve the school grounds, including the landscaping, planting, pruning and other tasks. They also work with the the school administration to understand and support the school needs in planning the gardening and grounds maintenance.
    Memorial Day morning; help organize school spirit for participants in the parade (signs, etc)
    Week of May 20; prep thank you items the week before at home; assist with decorating; provide and/or serve teacher luncheon
    The Lost and Found committee is responsible for organizing the lost items. Unclaimed items are donated to a local charity.
